ovulation_early_pregnancy_tests_150ENJAB Ovulation Test works by detecting an increase (surge) in the hormone called Luteinizing Hormone (LH) in your urine . This LH surge occurs prior to the release of an egg from your ovaries a process known as Ovulation.

You are at your most fertile on the day your LH surge is detected and the day after.

Positive Result: When 5 minutes have passed, if you see that the color of the Test Line (T) IS the same as the color of the Control Line, it means that you are having an LH surge.

Negative Result: when 5 minutes have passed, if you see that the color of the Test Line (T) is lighter than the color of the Control Line (C), this means that you are not having an LH surge.

When to Test

Determine the length of your menstrual cycle. Your menstrual cycle length is the number of days from the first day of your period (menstrual bleeding) to the last day before your next period starts. Usually, an egg is released 14 days before the next period starts. Pregnancy is most likely to occur 2 to 3 days before and 1 to 2 days after the egg is released. Use the ovulation test routinely during this time. Use the calculator below to know when to start testing.

Do not use first morning urine sample as LH is synthesized in your body in the early morning. It will not show collected up in your urine until later in the day. The best time to collect your urine is between 10 AM and 8 PM. Use specimens at about same time each day for the entire cycle to test. Reduce liquid intake about 2 hours before collecting your urine as a dilutedurine sample can prevent the test from detecting an LH surge.

General

1. To avoid pregnancy, if the test shows the result of early period of ovulation, birth control is needed.

2. If after continued testing, results remain unclear, please consult your doctor.

3. The test result might not work properly for women suffering from polycystic ovary syndrome, hyperthyroidism or menopause, or taking hormone, birth control pills or steroid.

4. The test will not work properly if you are pregnant.

Introduction for Ovulation Test (LH)

Ovulation is the release of an egg from the ovary. The egg passes into the fall opian tube where it is ready to be fertilized. In order for pregnancy to occur, the egg must be fertilized by sperm within 24 hours after its release. Immediately prior to ovulation, the body produces a large amount of Luteinizing Hormone (LH). This is known as the "LH surge" and usually takes place in the middle of the menstrual cycle. LH triggers the release of an egg from the ovary. Ovulation test is a complete system to help you predict the time of ovulation and peak fertility. It is during this fertile time that pregnancy is most likely to occur. Detection of the LH surge can aid in predicting the time of the ovulation. The on set of the LH surge precedes ovulation by approximately 30 hours.
